On April 4-5, 2019, Serbia hosted the second Western Balkans Digital Summit in Belgrade, at the Palace of Serbia. The summit explored the topics of development of digital technologies, innovation and gave examples of best practice. The gathering was attended by representatives of the Securities Commission headed by Commissioner Aleksandar Stojković. The Summit brought together representatives of governments, businesses, regional organizations, civil society organizations, academic community and the youth, with the aim of setting up a digital platform for the exchange of ideas and proposals. Ms Bojana Tomić Brkušanin, head of the International Cooperation and Development Department of the Securities Commission spoke at the blockchain panel.
RS SEC at the 29 Annual International Institute for Securities Market Growth and Development
The newly-elected Chairman of the Republic of Serbia Securities Commission Mr Marko Janković participated in the Executive Working Lunch hosted by the United States Securities Commission, at the invitation extended by the U.S. SEC Commissioner Ms Hester M. Peirce. Mr Janković is attending the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission 29th Annual International Institute for Securities Market Growth and Development in Washington.
MF consults on alternative investment funds
The Ministry of Finance has published the notice on the beginning of public consultation on the Draft alternative investment funds law, in preparation of which the Securities Commission actively participated. The consultation on the Draft will be open for feedback from 29 March until 17 April 2019.
