After the successful completion of the public consultation process regarding the issue, trading and additional regulation of cryptocurrencies and digital tokens, the Securities Commission organized and held a round table further exploring the cryptoasset regulation issues. The round table was attended by representatives from the Prime Minister's Office, Ministry of Finance, Belgrade Stock Exchange, Foreign Investors Council, USAID and the representatives from the industry and law firms, and engineers who took part in the Commission's public consultation process.
A new functionality in the Commission's Electronic Submissions Gateway
The Securities Commission has developed a new functionality within its application, the Electronic Submissions Gateway. It will facilitate the monthly electronic reporting by investment firms regarding transactions on foreign markets. Specifically, investment firms can now upload XML data on all transactions conducted in foreign markets within their monthly reporting. This functionality is available as of Monday, 13 May 2019.
CapitalOne license suspended for 30 days
At its 91 session held on 10 May 2019, the Commission adopted a temporary decision suspending license for the provision of activities of an investment firm of broker-dealer company CapitalOne a.d. Beograd for the period of 30 days.
