The Securities Commission of the Republic of Serbia warns citizens and investors about the increasing occurrence of various forms of fraud spreading via the internet and social media in the area of investing and trading in financial instruments, including cases of impersonation on behalf of the Belgrade Stock Exchange and other capital market participants.
The Commission urges citizens to exercise caution and not act on offers that promise safe and quick profits, especially if they are asked to provide personal data, documents, or make monetary payments. Before making any investment decision, it is necessary to verify all relevant information, as well as whether the platform or company offering investment services is authorized and registered to perform such activities with the competent authorities.
In case of suspicion of unauthorized provision of services and activities related to the capital market, citizens and investors may report suspicious activities to the Securities Commission of the Republic of Serbia via email: nadzor@sec.gov.rs
