Participation of the Securities Commission of the Republic of Serbia at the “Fundamental 2025” conference in Banja Luka

The Securities Commission of the Republic of Serbia, represented by the Chairman of the Commission Marko Janković and the Secretary of the Commission Goran Kuprešanin, participated in the “Fundamental 2025” conference held on March 25, 2025, at the National Theatre of the Republic of Srpska in Banja Luka.

The conference was opened by Željka Cvijanović, Chairwoman of the Presidency of Bosnia and Herzegovina, who emphasized the importance of creating expert-driven solutions to advance the capital market in the Republic of Srpska and the wider region. Other participants included Zora Vidović, Minister of Finance of the Republic of Srpska, Ognjen Mihajlović, Chairman of the Securities Commission of the Republic of Srpska, Dragan Kajkut, representative of the Association of Investment Fund Management Companies, as well as Vladimir Đukanović, a well-known regional investment expert.

Marko Janković, Chairman of the Commission, took part in discussions on the regulatory framework of the capital market, its advantages and shortcomings in comparison to other markets in the region, and emphasized the need to align existing regulations with modern market challenges and opportunities.
Goran Kuprešanin, Secretary of the Commission, initiated a debate on the role and significance of investment funds for both the development of the capital market and the investment fund industry itself—highlighting its 20-year history in the Republic of Serbia and the opportunities regional countries may seize by building on this experience.
